Here's the deal with insurance and couples therapy -

Before insurance will pay for mental health treatment, they need three things: one identified client, a diagnosable condition they cover, and proof that the client and their diagnosis were treated with medically necessary interventions.

The problem? That's just not how couples therapy works.

When you come to us as a couple, we see the relationship as the client — not one person sitting in the chair. We're not going to slap a diagnosis on one partner just to check a box. What we're actually treating is the two of you together: the communication breakdowns, the broken trust, the distance, the disconnection. The goal is a stronger, more joyful relationship.

Insurance doesn't have a billing code for that, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. What we can do is work with you to make the process as affordable as possible — because your relationship is worth it.

Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate — a written summary of the expected cost of your care before treatment begins. It's the law, and we think it's a good one.

Here's what that looks like on our end: before we get started, we'll provide you with a clear breakdown of our fees so there are no surprises down the road. This includes session costs, frequency, and an estimated total based on your treatment plan.

A few things worth knowing — the estimate is exactly that, an estimate. Therapy isn't a one-size-fits-all process, and the length and frequency of your care may shift as we work together. But you'll always know where things stand, and we'll never leave you guessing about the cost of your care.

Questions? Just ask. That's what we're here for.
